We are lucky here in the UK in that despite some large forest and heath fires now and again we do not see the size of problems encountered every year by many other countries such as the US, Canada, Australia and parts of Europe. Our only view of Fire Bombers or Air Tankers as some countries call them is through the media. It may surprise you to know that two types of UK aeroplanes are involved in the industry along with British firm Babcock who operate over 100 fire fighting planes...

BREAKING NEWS!   IWM Duxford, home of the British Airliner Collection, is reopening on Saturday 1 August.   Our workshop team is making sure visitors can enjoy our Collection as safely as possible, including access to Concorde 101, small group talks in AirSpace and next to our aircraft outside on the runway.   Many thanks to all who have given generously to support our work.  As a charity, we rely on our visitors and air show revenues so donations...
